Sinopse
During my internship at KnokCare, a health tech company with multiple digital platforms for clinicians, patients, and administrators, I identified a recurring issue: some inconsistencies in the design and user experience across products. I led a full UX/UI consistency review to help improve usability, visual alignment, and trust across the ecosystem.
I began with an in-depth platform observation, examining the rationale behind existing design decisions. This helped me understand usability patterns, and also spot friction points and inconsistencies that could impact real users. I carefully documented these findings, questioned unclear decisions, and suggested improvements grounded in design principles and system logic.
I then created a multi-platform UX audit, analyzing each product’s layout, navigation, feedback messages, and interaction flows. Using annotated screenshots, I tracked dozens of issues — from misaligned components and layout inconsistencies to usability problems and inaccessible copy. To support prioritization, I applied a severity and impact matrix, highlighting quick wins and high-priority corrections that could be implemented with minimal effort.

In parallel, I conducted UX research initiatives, including a questionnaire designed to evaluate the importance of a specific feature from the perspective of multiple internal teams. This survey helped uncover gaps in product understanding and training needs, while also generating feedback on how that feature could be made more useful. I also collaborated on UX copy audits, testing user-facing text using tools like the Hemingway App, and iterating toward simpler, more accessible alternatives.
The result of this initiative was a detailed audit document shared with the product design team, which later helped structure design cleanup sprints, guide the evolution of the design system, and spark new conversations about consistency, accessibility, and user satisfaction.
This work allowed me to combine UX research, product thinking, and design systems knowledge in a real-world setting, with impact across multiple active products — and it demonstrated my ability to take initiative, structure findings, and collaborate effectively to improve digital healthcare experiences.
