Collaborations Olga Marinho, Leonor Maia and Edgar VieiraSinopse "Check-in / Check-out" is an interactive cybertext installation that explores opposing perspectives on tourism growth in a city. Using two projectors with contrasting colors (red and blue), it presents videos of silhouettes and recorded citations organized into six subtopics—security, social impact, capacity, economy, gentrification, and heritage. Generated randomly through code, the videos ensure a non-repetitive experience where visitors can block one projector to focus on the other, symbolically choosing a side. By merging immersion and interaction, the project encourages participants to reflect, engage, and form their own stance on the issue.
This project was exhibited in the online exhibition of Processing Community Day in 2024, in the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto.
